Viviscal Review and Giveaway Hop

Welcome to the Viviscal Review & Giveaway Hop Event! MamaNYC is hosting this event, which is going to run for 3+ months and follow 25 bloggers as they experience hair growth, nourishment, repair, and damage control with Viviscal!

I have always had a problem with fine, thinning hair. Between pregnancies and age my hair has sure been through a lot!  That is probably one reason I keep it short, because the longer it gets the thinner it seems to get. My hair also takes a really long time to grow. Over the winter months, I attempted to grow my hair out and to add just a few inches, it took months and months!! So eventually, I chopped it off again.

I can't wait to see how my hair will be changing over the next 3 months as I take the Viviscal journey! I am always a little wary about starting new things like this, but am optimistic that it will help my hair become fuller and better looking :) I hope you will stick around and hear about the changes and the end result.

What is even better about following my journey is that one og my lucky readers will get their own 3 month supply of Viviscal to try out!! This is a $150.00 Value!! Details of the giveaway are below.

The giveaway is going to run from March 24th at 12:01 am EST until April 8, 2012 at Midnight EST. One lucky winner is going to receive a 3-month trial of Viviscal hair supplements ($150 value). Open to residents in the U.S. only; 18+. Please enter using the Rafflecopter widget below.

NOTICE: All participants are encouraged to hop down the linky list below the Rafflecopter widget! 25 bloggers are each giving away 3-month trials of Viviscal. You will only be eligible to win on ONE of our blog giveaways. However, I hope you will finish all our giveaways because the MORE giveaways and entries completed - the BETTER your chances will be at winning! It’s better to be the selected winner on five of our giveaways instead of none! Once you are selected as a winner from one of these blogs, you will receive a winning email and all set to receive your prize!

This post is part of a review and giveaway event hosted by MamaNYC in conjunction with Lifes2good. I have received a free promotional 3-month trial of this product in order to compose and share an honest review based on personal experience.

Ways I Make Money Being a SAHM/WAHM

After getting pregnant with my daughter and I was let go from my nanny job, we decided that I was going to be a SAHM. We couldn't exactly afford for me to not have a job, but at the same time we couldn't afford for me to go work outside the home and have to put two kids in daycare. I have to say many blessings to all of you who can make it work!!

With being at home, I do have more time to get on the computer and started following blogs and learned from them how to make a little extra money here and there. Now that I am a blogger and am finding other ways to supplement our income, I wanted to take the time to share them with you. I will tell you now that some of what I will post does have affiliate or referral links attached to them. This is another way for me to make money and keep this blog going, so I would love your support if you are so inclined :)

One way to make money at home is by taking surveys. What is great about most of these sites is that some of them also have product testing portions as well. Below are a list of ones that I am a part of and have made some $$ or gift cards from and if you look, some of them have other ways to make money besides just surveys such watching videos, etc.

Superpoints- Spin the SuperLucky Button, Complete Offers, Watch Videos all for points to use for Cash or Gift Cards. I cash out at least $5 week, but it can be much more! This is by far the easiest one.

Swagbucks- Seriously a lot of things to do for points. Surveys, Search the Internet(mostly all I do), Games, and much more!! Also really easy if you just use it as your search engine.

Inbox Dollars- I mostly just click on the emails they send, but they also have surveys, games and lots of other ways to earn.

Toluna- Mostly a survey site, but they sometimes have product testing opportunities.

Vindale Research- Mostly surveys, but can also earn money from their reward mail.

Smiley360- More of a sampling program. It is fun and have gotten some good products to sample.

Crowdtap- More fun Survey site. You earn points to redeem for rewards and they also have sample/share programs that are fun and sometimes mean free clothes!

These are just a few of ones that I have used in the past. When I think of more I will add them to this post. I hope this helps those of you looking for a little extra money as it has for me :)

TOMS #OneDayWithoutShoes 2012 and Autism United Coupon Code

Many of you have heard of the TOMS brand and all that they do to help spread the world about children who are in need of shoes. In fact, Every pair of TOMS that you purchase, they in turn give a pair of shoes to a child in need with their One for One initiative.

On April 10, 2012 they are asking us all to go without shoes for one day!! Take a look at the video below to learn a little more.

I love how TOMS doesn't identify themselves as a company, but more as a movement. They use their products in a way to bring light to the struggles that many children face in poorer countries. One Day Without Shoes is a way for us all to join in and bring awareness for the One for One campaign. Curiosity leads to Conversation which leads to Action and results in Change. You can find out a little more on the Autism United Page.

Join in with us and the millions of people who will be taking a part of April 10th, 2012.. a day where we can raise the incredible need to help the children across the world. You can also follow Autism United on Twitter by following @TheAutismUnited and join us on April 10th by using the hashtag #OneDayWithoutShoes to show our support.

Another way to help is by purchasing your own pair of TOMS and what is even better is a $5 off Coupon Code!! Show your support for this movement and I hope to see you all barefoot on April 10th!!!

Shutterfly Yearbooks- Preserve the School Memories

Now that Little Man is in school(only preschool, but still school), I want to preserve those memories and photos and artwork so that we can look back and see what all he did throughout the year. I know there will be many things that eventually we will not remember and what better way to remember than with a yearbook.

Shutterfly makes the process of putting together photos and captions to make your own photo yearbook super easy and affordable.
1. Easy-to-make (we promise) - Use our specially designed page templates to capture school activities along with favorite student, classroom and faculty pictures. Make it just the way you want with our All New Custom Path.
2. Easy on your pocketbook - Get up to 75% off when you order for your class or school. We have prices as low as $5 per Yearbook, which are only available by contacting Shutterfly for a quote.
3. Made to love, made to last - Our award-winning photo books are printed in color and professionally bound. Your Yearbook is saved forever and you can re-order it at any time
I love that they give you plenty of tools to help you create the best Yearbook with templates and page layouts for pictures. This would be so great especially for smaller schools who may not have the budget to make a fancy yearbook. Shutterfly will work with you and give you a quote based on your needs.

I may have to make a yearbook for all of the memories and pictures that we have made this year for Little Man's first year of preschool. I plan on taking pictures of the artwork and other projects he has done as well. I would love to keep all of his craftwork, but that just isn't feasible. By taking a picture of each one, then using that picture in the yearbook we will be able to preserve the memories and be able to look back on all he has done. I can't wait!!
Start working on your yearbook today . You can also follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest

I was compensated for the above post, but all opinions are 100% mine.

WaterPik- Natural Remedy for Sinus Relief

I have suffered for allergies for the past 2 years now. I used to only have seasonal allergies, but now I have to take allergy medicine everyday!! I really don't like taking medicine everyday, and have noticed that other thing shave changed since I have been taking it. I am hoping with our move to a new house soon that my allergies ease. I am sure there are more natural remedies out there, but had not explored them until now because I just wanted to get instant and long lasting relief of my symptoms.

Most of us have heard of all the saline sprays and pots to help rinse our sinuses out, but I was skeptical that they actually helped. I always thought it would feel like you were drowning and just overall thought it was a little gross :)

I was sent the WaterPik SinuSense Water Pulsator to test out. It is really simple to put together and use. Simply fill the reservoir with warm water, add in one to two packets of the saline solution, put up to your nose, then let it runs for 10 seconds on each side. The first time I used it, it was quite a weird experience. The water vibrates through your sinus cavity to come out your other nostril. I have a pretty sensitive gag reflex, so this was a little hard to do, but by bending my head over enough and opening my mouth I eventually figured out the best way to use it. I have been doing some Spring Cleaning the past week and the SinuSense has come in handy. After stirring up all the dust and dirt, my nose has been running and itching like crazy. I have used the SinuSense after I have finished cleaning, and it has almost instantly cleared out the gunk that is making me sneeze. My nose stops running and I feel so much better. With all the pollen in the air this Spring, the SinuSense will come in handy to help clear out my sinuses and hopefully relieve the ongoing battle that I have with allergies. If you are looking for a more natural relief from allergies, I highly recommend the WaterPik SinuSense!! I would have taken a picture of me using it, but I don't think you really need to see that re-inactment .. haha

The WaterPik SinuSense retails for $34.99. You can find more information from their Website and there is even a coupon. You can also follow them on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

I was sent the above products in order to facilitate my review and also received compensation. All opinions are 100% mine.

WaterPik- Ultra Water Flosser Review

I hate to admit it, but I don't like to floss!! I used to rarely ever floss because it made my gums bleed and just hurt. I think that is probably one of the reasons I have had to get so much dental work done over the last year. Because of that, I have gotten better about flossing at least a couple of times a week. My gums don't bleed as much, but it can still really hurt.

I was excited when I heard I would get the opportunity to test of the WaterPik Ultra Water Flosser. I have seen them before and was always curious if they would really be helpful.

Here are some of the Product Features:

  • 6 unique tips
  • Advanced pressure control system with 10 settings
  • 5 to 90 psi
  • Reservoir capacity of 90 seconds+
  • Pause button on handle
  • Can be used with water or your favorite mouthwash
  • Smaller and quieter than previous models
  • Covered reservoir with built-in tip storage
  • Three-year warranty
It is really simple to set up and use the Water Flosser. Simply fill the reservoir, choose what tip you would like to use, turn to the desired pressure, and turn on. The first time I used it was definitely an interesting experience. I used it on medium pressure and could really feel the water push between my teeth. I have to say that it was much more pleasant than trying to floss and I wasn't having to contort my hands and jaw just to get between my teeth. I did forget twice to put it on pause when I took it out of my mouth and covered my bathroom mirror in water!! After a few days of use, I have felt the difference in that my gums aren't being cut and bleeding like they do with flossing. I also like that it gives your gums a gentle massage. I can't wait to see with continued use an improvement in the health of my gums and teeth.

The water flosser has been tested and proven to be 50% more effective than regular flossing. It can also help remove bacteria that is deeper down the teeth and along the gum lines, which regular flossing cannot do.

The WaterPik Ultra Water Flosser retails for $59.99 and would be great for the whole family. I did like that one of the tips was for use under braces and since I may be getting some next year, the water flosser will come in handy!

You can find more information on their Website and also get a coupon. Visit them on Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube

I was sent the above product in order to facilitate my review on behalf of WaterPik and GiGCoin. all opinions are 100% mine.
