Booyah! Back on
track, down 1.2 pounds for a total of 23.2 pounds. It’s nice when
you set a goal and hit it! Just needed
to stay focused and “get back to the basics” of getting out and exercising
every day. It’s easy for me to overlook
the need to get a good walk in, even though I spend the better part of my day
at work on my feet. Yeah, I get a little
more exercise out of it than someone that spends their time pecking away on a
computer for 8 hours a day, but I’m not constantly in motion. I have has less cheats and gotten my focus back on the Nutrisystem plan.
I’ve
decided to start incorporating weights into the mix. I haven’t lifted weights regularly in
probably 10 years, so I’m sure there’s going to be some soreness involved. I’m getting to that age where “stuff” is
starting to get a little flabby, starting with the dreaded chicken wing on the
arms. While the prospect of lifting
weights does not necessarily appeal to me, I know how important it is to
maintaining flexibility and overall health of the body. My Dad is 72 and still lifts weights twice a
week, and he’s in better shape than most of his kids. If he can do it…
Only a
couple of months left in the program, and I’m not sure how I feel about it,
it’s been so easy as far as choosing what to eat. Everything is portioned for you, it really
does take a lot of the guess work out of the equation. I’m starting to think I need to come up with
my own system. I don’t know, maybe buy
some containers to take with me to work, pre-portioning everything? Probably the route I’ll have to go, because
it’s too easy working in a restaurant to overdo it on the size of the
meals. Have a plan and stick to it.
